Get to Know Matthew McKissock, DMD, FAGD
Dr. McKissock was raised in Central Florida and graduated from Edgewater High School before attending the Citadel. After earning his degree there, he went on to receive his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Florida College of Dentistry. He then completed a residency in advanced general dentistry at Fort Carson in Colorado, where he published an award-winning article in the Journal of the Academy of General Dentistry. This research helped shape his patient care philosophy - focusing on reducing dental anxiety by eliminating pain during dental procedures.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. McKissock received advanced cosmetic training at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, the premier postgraduate institution for cosmetic dentistry, and also attended the world-renowned Pankey Institute. Following his studies in Colorado, he served as a dentist in the US military, stationed Fort Stewart, Georgia, with deployment to Kuwait.
In 2007, Dr. McKissock became a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, a distinction recognizing his extensive postgraduate education and successful board testing. The following year, he completed the one-year MaxiCourse in implant dentistry through New York University. Recently, Dr. McKissock has completed level 3 of the Resnik Institute implant curriculum.
Outside Of The Dental Office, What Do You Like To Do?

In 2002, Dr. McKissock and his wife, Kerry, chose to settle in Central Florida and he founded Windermere Dentistry. Since then, he has enjoyed raising his family, growing his practice, and becoming an active member of the community.On weekends, you'll often find Dr. McKissock spending time with his family-including his granddaughter, Charley - playing golf, watching his son Jack play football, or supporting his daughters Matti and Elli, as they pursue their careers in volleyball.
